keeping the streets safe

I’ll admit now that I love wehonews.com - it seems to be the project of a relatively small number of folks, but they do an amazing job covering what is, by any standards, a colorful neighborhood.
I’m particularly addicted to the Crime Blotter section, compiled by the WeHo sheriff’s office, which lists all the neighborhood’s petty (and not so petty) crime from the week. I had to read this entry from this week’s edition three times to make sense of it:
6:53 am, 1000 block of Sweetzer. As he walked out of his sub garage, an unknown male Caucasian suspect was forcibly robbed by a man who took the victim’s $199 cellular phone and fled on foot. Following a search of surrounding areas, the suspect was located, identified and arrested.
(These unknown suspects always have the worst luck. I wonder what happened to the robber…)
